Although I am far from being anything resembling an audiophile, I felt like the er6i earphones HAD to replace the set that came with my iPod. I can't emphasize enough that the Etymotic er6i feature excellent sound for a relatively low investment. Don't let the white cable fool you, it doesn't mean you've got to have an iPod to use them.
